About Islam

Islam is a complete religion and a code of life; it has given all the solutions for living and also how to make oneself and the environment around one happy. It has favored an easy and simple way of life.

What are the basics of Islam?| 5 pillars of Islam

The foundation of Islam is 5. Kalma (shahda), prayer, the Hajj, fasting, and Zakat are some of the embellishments of religion that have made life easier according to these golden precepts. First, let me affirm that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the messenger and servant of Allah, and that he is the one real Allah. The establishment of prayer comes in second, followed by zakat giving in third, the Hajj in fourth, and the Ramadan fast in fifth.

If you look at these five members, they have also been relaxed for human needs and convenience. If you start learning about Hajj, it is obligatory only for those who can afford it financially. Zakat has also been imposed on those who have nisab. It has been said repeatedly about prayer that it establishes prayer; prayer is the key to heaven and the path to success. We should offer prayer at the exact time. I gave the exact Prayer times Toronto.

Islam, particularly the Quran, is regarded as a life-guiding text. It teaches Muslims what to believe and how to behave, from being kind to others to praying five times a day.

Requirements of Islam

The requirements of religion are those issues that everyone knows, especially in general, such as Tawheed of Allah Almighty (i.e., knowing Him as One), Prophethood of Prophets, Paradise, Hell, Doomsday, etc.

For example, the belief that the Holy Prophet can’t be a prophet. A person who denies any essential religious command or holds any belief against the basic beliefs of Islam, even if he calls himself a Muslim, is neither a Muslim nor a Muslim.

Claiming Islam with the tongue and denying it with the heart is hypocrisy. This is also pure disbelief. Rather, the lowest level of hell is for such people; as the Qur’an declares, for those who believe on the day of the conquest of Makkah, their faith will not be of any use.

It cannot be said with certainty that a particular person is a hypocrite, but a branch of hypocrisy is found in this era. Many bad religions call themselves Muslims, and it is seen that along with their claim of it, they also deny the essentials of religion.

A man cannot become a Muslim by simply reciting the word with his tongue. A Muslim is one who confesses with his tongue and affirms with a sincere heart all the things that are required of religion.

Belief in prophethood

The second most important fundamental belief comes from the belief in prophethood. A Messenger is a person through whom Allah revealed His law to man.

  • A Word of Allah, which was revealed verbally to the Messenger, i.e., the Holy Qur’an.
  • The second are the sayings and actions and the do’s and don’ts that the Messenger gave to his followers under the guidance of Allah, i.e., direction.

Obedience to Rasool

The status of the Messenger in Islam is clearly defined in such a way that we can also know exactly what the Messenger is. And also, what it is not.

The Messenger comes to make people not his own but Allah’s servants, and he himself calls himself the servant of Allah. At least once every day in prayer, which Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught the Muslims to read the word Shahadat, this phrase is recited and obligatory:

No one can be a believer without believing in the Messenger. The person who obeys the Messenger actually obeys Allah because Allah sent the Messenger to be obeyed. Whoever obeys the Messenger can receive guidance. What the Messenger commands should be accepted, and what he forbids should be avoided.

Muhammad himself explained this matter as follows:

(Muslim Book 43, Hadith 139 to 141-Musnad Ahmad, Volume I, p. 162, Volume III, p. 152)

The importance of belief in the hereafter

The third fundamental belief is the Hereafter. The significance of this is that the one who denies it becomes a disbeliever, not even believing in Allah, the Messenger, the Qur’an, or anything else that can save him from his home.

  • Man has not been left irresponsible in the world, but he is accountable to his creator. The present life of the world is actually the test and trial of man. After its end, he will have to give an account of his life’s achievements to Allah.
  • Allah has appointed a time. As long as Allah Almighty has decided to give mankind time to work in the world, at the end of it, there will be a doomsday in which the current system of the world will be destroyed and another system will be established in a new way. will go In that new world, all those people who were born from the beginning of creation to the resurrection will be resurrected.
  • At that time, all of them will be presented at the same time in the court of God Almighty, and each person will have to answer in his personal capacity for the actions that he has done in the world on his own responsibility.
  • In Allah’s court, no bribery, no undue recommendation, and no rightful advocacy will be allowed. No one’s burden will be placed on another; man will be standing there alone without any helper and giving his account, and the decision will be in the power of Allah alone.
  • The entire focus of the decision will be on whether or not a person served Allah correctly by believing the truth told by the Prophets in this world and realizing his answer in the Hereafter. In the first case, it is heaven for him, and in the second case, hell.

Women in Islam

Islam, like many faiths, has had misunderstandings concerning the role of women. However, the Islamic holy book, the Quran, highlights that men and women have equality in the eyes of Allah. Both were born with the same soul and are responsible for their actions.

Muslim women have an essential role in society. They are daughters, moms, spouses, academics, physicians, educators, and businesspeople. Khadija (A.S.), Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) wife, was a prosperous businesswoman who supported him prior to his prophethood. Islam encourages women to educate themselves and follow their dreams while still contributing to their families and communities.

In Islam, there are precise guidelines for attire, marriage, and inheritance. People sometimes mistake these as limitations, despite their crucial role in establishing a balanced and respected social order. In the end, Islam honors women and their contributions to society and encourages them to realize their full potential.
